Casa de Sabicos Reserva

RED

Casa de Sabicos Reserva is a blend of Trincadeira (35%), Aragonez (35%), Alicante Bouschet (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), from a vineyard with red chalky and granitic soils.

The grapes are harvested during the night, which permits an ideal temperature of the musts and prevents their oxidation, and are jointly fermented in conic steel vats with a strict temperature control. The wine ages 12 months in French oak barrels, followed by ageing in the bottle in a chamber with temperature control.

The original watercolour of the label, painted by Graça Santana Ramalho, represents an Alentejo typical cottage house, where simple austerity prevails along with the open and inviting connection to the land.

Tasting notes:

Colour: Deep garnet.

Aroma: Complex, fresh, red fruits and spices; tannins of the wine well balanced with the oak.

Taste: Velvet, full-bodied, warm; notes of the oak well balanced with the spices felt in the nose. Long, persistent finish.
